(02/09/23 UPDATE: I’ve received confirmation from additional sources that the FAQ is a New York City government document.)

As many No One You Know readers probably know already, NYC Mayor Eric Adams announced his plan on February 6 to rescind the City’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates for municipal workers, nonpublic school employees, and public school building visitors.

The rescindment, which is scheduled to go into effect on February 10 after expected approval at a February 9 Board of Health meeting, will end the vaccination requirement that led to thousands of City employees who did not comply being put on leave without pay, terminated from their jobs, and pushed into early retirement or resignation.

Adams noted in his announcement that former municipal workers who were fired under the mandate would be able to apply for positions with the City, but he provided no details about the terms or process of reemployment.
